Esther’s Aid has initiated the activities related to women empowerment Esther’s Aid has pioneered several women empowerment activities over the years.  Rwanda has a large number of marginalized women and girls who are mostly affected by sex trafficking, lack of education, and who are experiencing early pregnancies and more. We empower them by providing different hands-on skills training.

Activities:

• Hands on skills & vocational training in Bakery & Pastry, Accessories Design, Tie & Dye, etc.
• Entrepreneurship and income generating activities – training
• Cooperative creation
• Micro finances linkages
• Startup kits & Seed Capital
• Business coaching & mentorship

Beneficiaries:

• School dropouts
• Teen moms (early pregnancy)
• Sex traffic victims

The Volunteer Engagement project aims to provide our students with better insight on the advantages of volunteerism. We teach them that the right match can help them network; find friends, connect with the community, learn new skills, and even advance their careers.

Each year Esther’s Aid recruits and trains 30 youths (university graduates) on the need to volunteer. After training they volunteer at an organization and build their capacity in job matching. We firmly believe that volunteering and giving back to others can improve their mental and physical health.

 We believe that youth sports participation comes with a variety of health and social benefits. This project creates awareness among youth, helps them to develop and play leadership role, sportsmanship, love and unity.

Project Activities

Youth for the Future Trophy – Esther’s Aid Eagles Fire Soccer Tournament is organized among youth soccer teams in the communities and schools.

• Gahanga Youth (aged 12 – 18) and Kacyiru students
• Jabana Youth (Aged 12 – 18)

Esther’s Aid is a Christian nonprofit organization where evangelism and gospel outreach are among our core priorities.

Project Activities:

• Gospel outreach – To minister to those with Spiritual needs, provide counseling and build them up. We provide outreach to hospitals, health centers and prisons.
• Evangelism, Crusades and Discipleship – Teaching the word of God through our Esther’s Aid Worship center. We also organize different prayer events.
• Bible Study – regularly Esther’s Aid teaches Bible study to all our beneficiaries.
