Our major program is education, which includes Culinary Arts with concentration in the art of Cooking, Bakery and Hospitality. This is a 15 months’ course, which includes a 4 months’ internship in hotels, Restaurants and related food services. The graduates succeed in finding gainful employment in hospitality industry.
We also offer 6 months’ program in Culinary Arts and bakery. With our 3-month program, the concentration is in Bakery/Cake design and decoration.
We help students with internship placements and carry out field visits. Work Based Learning is where they are doing internships in order to follow up on their performance and discuss the possibility of ultimate employment.
Hotels Partnership
In 2010, our School of Culinary Arts partnered with Serena Hotel in Rwanda to introduce a hospitality internship placement and training program. In the years following, 20 more hotels opened their doors for partnerships in placement and training. In 2016, Marriott Hotel recruited 9 of our graduates. Today, we have dozens of our alumnae secured jobs across the globe – USA, Canada, countries in Africa, Middle East. In Rwanda, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, corporations have hired hundreds of Esther’s Aid graduates to staff their hotels and institutions.
Partnering with other organizations & Institutions allow us to empower more of our students than we could have done alone! We work in partnership and in collaborations with international, national and local organizations/institutions. We work with 35 Hotels in Rwanda.
